Antibacterial Masterbatch
KCI Antibacterial Masterbatch is designed for LDPE, HDPE, PP, and EVA applications, including blown film, film extrusion, and injection molding. When properly added, it helps inhibit the growth of specific bacteria on the surface of treated plastic products and may help reduce odors and material deterioration associated with microbial growth. The formulation can be adjusted according to the base polymer, processing conditions, end-use application, and target antibacterial performance.
Product Specifications and Applications
Applicable Polymers: LDPE, HDPE, PP, and EVA
Processing Applications: Blown film, film extrusion, and injection molding
Potential Applications: Plastic products requiring control of specific bacterial growth on treated surfaces
Packaging: 25 kg/bag
Recommended Addition Rate: 2%–5%. The actual addition rate should be adjusted according to the base polymer, product formulation, processing conditions, product thickness, end-use application, and target antibacterial performance.
Product Function: When properly added, it helps inhibit the growth of specific bacteria on the surface of treated plastic products.
Product Features: Formulations can be adjusted according to the application and target antibacterial performance. Actual effectiveness depends on the antibacterial component, base polymer, addition rate, product structure, processing conditions, use environment, and antibacterial test results for the finished product.
Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance
Based on customer and application requirements, KCI can provide Antibacterial Masterbatch solutions designed to meet relevant standards and regulatory requirements, including RoHS, REACH, and EN 71. Actual compliance and antibacterial performance are subject to the specifications, finished-product test results, and test documentation for each product.
