Photoluminescent Masterbatch

KCI Photoluminescent Masterbatch, also known as Glow-in-the-Dark Masterbatch, is designed for LDPE, HDPE, and PP applications, including blown film, sheet and film extrusion, fiber spinning, and injection molding. After absorbing energy from a suitable light source, the material produces a visible afterglow in dark conditions. Multiple color options are available, and formulations can be adjusted according to the base polymer, product color, thickness, charging conditions, and target afterglow performance.

    Product Specifications and Applications

Applicable Polymers: LDPE, HDPE, and PP

Processing Applications: Blown film, sheet and film extrusion, fiber spinning, and injection molding

Potential Applications: Plastic products requiring visibility, decorative effects, or photoluminescent performance in dark conditions

    Packaging: 25 kg/bag

Recommended Addition Rate: 2%–4%. The actual addition rate should be adjusted according to the base polymer, product color, thickness, processing conditions, charging conditions, and target afterglow performance.

Product Function: Absorbs energy from a suitable light source and produces a visible afterglow in dark conditions.

Product Features: Available in multiple color options with good light-charging and afterglow performance. Actual brightness and afterglow duration depend on the photoluminescent material, base polymer, background color, addition rate, product thickness, light source, charging time, ambient lighting, and test results.

    Relevant Standards and Regulations

Based on customer and application requirements, KCI can provide Photoluminescent Masterbatch solutions designed to meet relevant standards and regulatory requirements, including RoHS, REACH, and EN 71. Actual compliance is subject to the specifications, test results, and test documentation for each product.
